HoToGAMIT (How to Get Around MIT – CIO Symposium Edition)

May 23, 2017

Finding Kresge
The Symposium takes place in Kresge Auditorium, 48 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02139. Kresge is well receded from Massachusetts Avenue and may be hard to see from the street. Please refer to the map on the logistics page. You can’t miss the tent in front of Kresge; the tent may be a better landmark.

Parking and Shuttle Bus
Unfortunately no parking is available directly at Kresge, click here for parking, public transportation, and shuttle bus options.

Registration Desk is in the Tent
When you arrive at the Symposium, please go to the tent outside of Kresge to sign in and get your badge and bag.

Lunch
Your lunch assignment is on your badge. Both breakout sessions are sold out, but if you would like to stand by, please go to the appropriate room and at 12:15 you will be allowed in until the room is full.

  • If you registered to attend the Cloud Strategies: The Next Level of Digital Transformationpresentation, you will have a blue dot on your badge. Please go to the Stratton Student Center, third floor to pick up your lunch. The session is in the room Twenty Chimneys.
  • If you registered to attend the panel The CIO Adventure: Insights from the Leadership Award Finalists, you will have a red dot on your badge. Please go to the Stratton Student Center, second floor to pick up your lunch. The session is in the room Sala de Puerto Rico.
  • The Birds of a Feather lunch is open to all and is located in Rockwell Cage, to the left of Kresge Auditorium. Many of our speakers will be participating in the discussions. The final table topics can be found here.

Luggage
If need be, you can store your luggage during the Symposium in the basement of Kresge Auditorium. As you enter Kresge from the street level, go down the stairs to the bottom level. The men’s room and the luggage room are on the left (women’s room to the right). Standard checkin processes apply, i.e. you’ll get a ticket for your luggage. The room will be manned to approximately 7:30 PM.

Gold Shirts
The Gold Shirt team will provide directions and answer your questions. You can’t miss them and don’t hesitate to use them.
